EXPERIENCE AND PHILOSOPHIZE
Galerie Jofke is a place you might not immediately think of when you picture a gallery. Instead of titles or prices, the artworks are accompanied by philosophical questions. The art isn’t explained; instead, you’re invited to experience what the works do to you and, using the questions, to reflect on how you view things. By looking attentively and with an open mind—like a child discovering the world—space is created for wonder, deeper understanding, and connection.

REFLECTION
The gallery is a place for reflection. At a large table or in a cozy sitting area, you can gather your thoughts while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee. You can do this alone, with your companions, or together with a gallery attendant. There is paper on the table where you can write or draw.

GROUP OUTING
Would you like to book an interactive VTS guided tour* with a group, where you can experience together what looking at art evokes in you? If desired, this can be fully catered with tapas. Great for team building, family or friend gatherings, or as an educational field trip, for example.
In this way, Jofke uses her art to help us better understand ourselves and one another, and to shape our vision and base our choices on that understanding. A new gem in Tilburg!

OPENING HOURS

• Tuesday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Outside these hours, you can make an appointment to visit the gallery.
• Sign up for the Artist Meet & Greet, including a VTS tour and tapas, on Friday, November 6, 2026: 6:30–10:00 p.m. (cost: €32.50).

VTS TOURS
*The interactive tours are provided by Maarten Maas of eMeLeM. Based on the Visual Thinking Strategy, you are invited to observe thoroughly and thus stimulate critical thinking, perception, and communication. Without talking about right or wrong, but building on each other’s perspectives. A fun activity for colleagues, family, friends, or students who want to connect on a deeper level. It is enjoyable to look at things together, and to listen to each other creates a sense of connection.
