Model and portrait
‘I looked in the direction in which I was used to looking and there I found only pain, a loss, a kind of emptiness. I looked far too far and far too much at the outside of things. I realized that I was just looking the wrong way,’ inspired by the book The Found Light by Jacques Lusseyran.
This page shows a selection of portrait and model drawings and paintings I made. On the page Looking for freedom you can see even more of them. Because I take the human body as the starting point for my work, I make most of my portraits and models. For example, take a look at the project Searching for contact.
